Technical Project Manager
Our cloud-based SaaS platform revolutionizes end-to-end processes – from product design and policy administration to claims management – and you will become the key driver behind its successful technical implementation. As a Technical Project Manager, you will take ownership of highly complex customer projects and standard test tenants, bring architectural visions to life, and ensure innovations are delivered securely, sustainably, and cost-effectively – with a particular focus on health insurers, composite insurers, and cross-line-of-business solutions.

- A completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification – plus at least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT projects with technical leadership responsibilities
- Command the full technology ecosystem of modern Java enterprise solutions: from Jakarta EE, Spring, and Maven to CI/CD with Jenkins and cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Helm charts, and OIDC-based security concepts. Foundational knowledge of integration architectures (e.g., ESB, API management) rounds out your profile
- Translate technical requirements into economically viable business cases and make sound decisions balancing quality, timelines, and resources
- Experience in the insurance sector or as a sub-project manager – but what truly matters is your passion for technical excellence
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities, including the capacity to bridge gaps between business and technical teams
- High initiative, and a passion for successfully delivering complex systems as part of a collaborative team
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- Proficient in English and German
- Assume end-to-end technical responsibility for integrating the msg.Insurance Suite – from architectural planning through to productive rollout at customer sites or within internal test environments
- Acting as the bridge between development and clients, you drive requirements management forward, align technical solutions with standard development teams, and ensure quality through both agile and traditional project management approaches (Scrum/Waterfall)
- Design and lead complex implementation efforts, coordinating technical work packages across IT architecture, delivery, and operations – always with a focus on scalability, security, and long-term maintainability
- As the central technical point of contact, you support customers and internal teams, proactively resolve critical challenges, and contribute your expertise to cross-component tasks – from container orchestration to SOA integration
- Suggest improvements for architecture, processes, and tools feed directly into the ongoing evolution of the msg.Insurance Suite
- Solid understanding of legal documents, contracts, and other business related documents
