• Education/degree in an IT-related field or comparable experience
• Several years of sound experience in designing, developing, and operating AWS architectures, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, and ECS/EKS
• Knowledge of container orchestration, including Kubernetes/EKS and Docker; Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible; and monitoring/observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, and X-Ray

• Make architecture decisions for the AWS environment and further develop the cloud architecture, including security and authorization concepts such as IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and KMS
• Design and maintain a multi-account landing zone using AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and SCPs according to the principles of the AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/CloudFormation, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines for reproducible, stable deployments
• Design and implement container and serverless architectures using ECS/EKS, Lambda, Step Functions, and Fargate
• Develop data architectures and pipelines using S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, DynamoDB, and Aurora, including event-driven integration with EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and Kinesis
• Ensure operational stability through monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and Grafana, as well as incident and change management, error analysis, and root-cause analysis
• Create and maintain functional concepts, operations manuals, and technical documentation; continuously optimize processes
• Plan and manage technical projects and subprojects in the AWS context, from effort estimation through to responsibility for results
• Identify cost-saving potential and economies of scale using Cost Explorer, rightsizing, Reserved Instances, and Savings Plans, and implement corresponding measures
• Actively participate in the architecture board and manage and evaluate suppliers and cloud partners
