COBOL Developer

We are looking for an experienced COBOL Developer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development, optimization, and support the core business process in the domain of series preparation to ensure the qualitative and quantitative series readiness of new and changed parts for the Start of Production (SOP).

  • Minimum 5 years of Cobol implementation experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Mainframe CICS experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in computer science) or other equivalent experience
  • Experience in developing STPs, Batches
  • Experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries on a DB2 database
  • Project involvement through all phases (end to end)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication along with strong client relationship skills
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Strong analytical mindset, structured and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Clear and effective communicator
  • Flexible and adaptable team player
  • Efficient problem-solver
  • Analytical and structured
  • Proficient in English and German, both written and spoken

  • Participate in delivering complex projects to clients
  • Engage in different phases of the implementation of TEVON
  • Work with the project team, team leaders, and client stakeholders to create stand-out solutions meeting clients' needs
  • Analyze technical and functional integration requirements
  • Conceptualize and implement Mainframe requirements:

- COBOL

- z/OS Db2 / SQL

- z/OS Batch / JCL

- z/OS MQ

- CICS

  • Deployment in both the ongoing development and new development of host components, as well as for analysis and support tasks (3rd level, Incidents und Defects
  • Be part of a team that is delivering Rich-Client / Web Client applications and deploying Mainframe artefacts (stored procedures, batches)
  • Organize and lead external or internal workshop
